5.12.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.- Calle Solie of Arizona Lutheran Academy has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Mid-America Christian University in the fall of 2009.

Solie, 18, is the daughter of Brad and Christe Solie. She is a native of Glendale, Arizona. Solie built an impressive resume while in high school. As a senior she was named 2A West Region Player of the Year. She was selected to the All-Region team in 2007 and 2008. She was All-State Honorable Mention and named to several all-tournament teams.

"Calle is going to be a great addition to our team," head volleyball coach Nikki Dieball said. "She is a very talented setter and we look forward to her stepping in right away to lead our team. She is extremely smart and makes great decisions with the ball. She is going to be a valuable asset for us."

Solie also excelled off the court being named to the honor all four years of high school.

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
