5.19.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.- With her family and friends looking on, Brooke Martin signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Mid-America Christian University during the 2009-2010 season. Martin, 18, is the daughter of Bill Martin and Brandie Ladymon. She is a native of Moore, Oklahoma. Martin was a setter for the Lady Lion volleyball team, being named varsity captain and team Most Valuable Player as a senior. Martin also plays volleyball competitively for Oklahoma Wind. She will graduate from Moore High School with the Certificate of Distinction in May. "We are excited to bring Brooke to the team," head volleyball coach Nikki Dieball said. "She is a hard worker and is eager to learn more about the game. We expect her to come in and make great improvements and be able to contribute to the team." MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference. |
