May 15, 2009

5.15.09 - Moore, Okla. - With family, friends, and teammates present, Community Christian School senior Taryn Walker signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for the Lady Evangels during the 2009-2010 season.

Walker, 18, is the daughter of Don and Christy Walker. She plays outside hitter for the Royals and competitively for OK Charge. As a senior she was named a NACA All-American and made the All-Tournament team in four tournaments this season. Walker was also named to the All-State team. She also excels in the classroom being honored on the principals honor roll as a senior.

"Taryn comes from a fundamentally solid program," head volleyball coach Nikki Dieball said. "She is a great defender and a dynamic hitter. We look for her to come in and make some big contributions to the team."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
