5.11.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University women's volleyball team announces the signing of Kara Kemp. She will join the Lady Evangels for the 2009- 2010 season.

Kemp, 18, is the daughter of Phil and Muriel Kemp. Kemp was home schooled but played volleyball for the Southwest Christian Academy Eagles. She was named to the All-State team in volleyball and basketball three straight years (2007, 2008 and 2009). Kemp excels in the classroom, being named to the President's Honor Roll at Rose State College in the fall of 2008 and the spring of 2009.

"We are excited to add Kara to our team," head volleyball coach Nikki Dieball said. "She has a great attitude and will be able to contribute to the team's success. We are looking forward to watching her grow and improve to even higher levels."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
