10.31.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.- The Mid-America Christian University volleyball team fell to 19th ranked Lubbock Christian University in three set (25-16, 25-14, 25-10) on Saturday afternoon at the Gaulke Activity Center.

With the win and a Wayland Baptist loss to John Brown, LCU clinches the Sooner Athletic Conference regular season title. The Lady Chaps are now 11-0 in the SAC with a 21-4 overall record. The Lady Evangels fall to 9-18 overall with a 9-2 conference record.

MACU held a 2-1 lead in the first set which was the only lead the Lady Evangels would have in the match.

Cristina Costa led MACU with ten kills on the afternoon. Calle Solie had 13 assist, two kills and 2 block assists. Becca Anderson contributed three kills, two block solos and two block assists.

The Lady Evangels conclude their home slate on Tuesday, November 3rd at 7 p.m. against conference opponent Southern Nazarene University. MACU will be honoring their senior during the match.
