10.17.09 - Bethany, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-23) decision to Evangel University on Saturday afternoon at the Sawyer Center on the campus of Southern Nazarene University.

Christiane Costa led the way for the Lady Evangels with seven kills, one block solo and two block assists. Freshman setter Calle Solie had 19 set assists, adding five kills and one bloack assist. Becca Anderson had six kills and one block assist.

As a team, MACU hit just .056, committing 19 attack errors. Evangel out-blocked MACU, 7-5. Evangel hit .206 with 43 kills.

The Lady Evangels are back in action at home on Tuesday, October 20th against Sooner Athletic Conference opponent Oklahoma Baptist University at 7 p.m.
