10.14.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.-The Mid-America Christian University volleyball team fell to Sooner Athletic Conference opponent John Brown University in three set (25-23, 25-8, 25-19) on Tuesday evening at the Gaulke Activity Center.

The loss drops the Lady Evangels to 7-14 overall with a 1-6 record in conference. With the win, John Brown University improves to 18-5 overall with a 4-3 conference record.

Christiane Costa led the Lady Evangels with nine kills. She also racked up one block solo and one block assist. Calle Solie had 21 assists on the night, adding 12 digs.

The Lady Evangels are back in action Saturday, October 17th against Evangel University. Southern Nazarene University we be hosting the match at 1 p.m.
