4.28.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.- The Mid-America Christian University softball team dropped a double header at Southern Nazarene University on Tuesday afternoon. The twin bill was the Lady Evangels last Sooner Athletic Conference match of the season. SNU took game one in six innings with a score of 11-1 and they prevailed 9-2 in the second game. The losses leave the Lady Evangels 2-24 in the SAC with a 19-36 overall record. Caley Wesberry takes the loss in the circle for MACU in game one giving up 12 hits and 11 runs although only four of them were earned. She had one strikeout on the day. In her last regular season game at MACU Kasey Gardner was the only Lady Evangel to have a two-hit day going 2-2 and scoring the lone run in game one. In game two the Crimson Storm out hit MACU 15 to 5. Kalynne Tweedie suffered the loss, pitching a complete game with one strikeout, giving up eight earned runs on 15 hits. Freshman Brittany Prandy led the Lady Evangels offensively going 1-2 with two RBI's. MACU will participate in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday at the Hall of Fame Stadium. |
