Dobie Signs Letter of Intent with MACU

5.3.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.- Recent Edmond North High School graduate, Melissa Dobie, signed a letter of intent to play soccer and volleyball at Mid-America Christian University during the 2009-2010 season.

"We are glad to be able to sign Melissa to our team for next year," head volleyball coach Nikki Dieball said. "She comes from a successful high school program and we look forward to her coming in and continuing to develop. She is a double sport athlete with a will to win."

Dobie, 18, is the daughter of Brett and Chris Dobie. She is a native of Edmond, Oklahoma. Dobie played both volleyball and soccer for the Lady Huskies. Outside of playing sports for Edmond North, she played volleyball for Kaizen and she played soccer competitively for Edmond Soccer Club.

"We are excited about bringing Melissa to our team," head soccer coach Zach Bice said. "She comes from a thriving club soccer program and she has experienced much success on the field. We know she will bring valuable experience that will aid our program."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
