5.11.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University women's soccer team announces the signing of Noble High School forward Kassie Shivers. She will join the Lady Evangels for the 2009- 2010 season. Shivers, 18, is the daughter of Michael and Karon Shivers. She will graduate from Noble High School in May. While playing soccer for the NHS Bears, Shivers earned All-District honors in 2006 and 2007. She was named to the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) All-State team as a senior in 2009. "Kassie will be a great addition to our team," head women's soccer coach Zach Bice said. "She was a successful high school athlete and we hope her success carries over to the collegiate level." MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference. |
