9/29/07 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University defeated York College Saturday, Sept. 29. MACU defeated York 3-0.

The Lady Evangels have won seven out of their last eight games.

"Our defense came up big," Coach Bice stated. "We have played excellent defense all year long."

MACU's defense recorded their sixth shut-out of theseason.

The first half was scoreless until Brittney Foos scored from a Bailey Williams assist. The Lady Evangels went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

MACU dominated the second half, scoring two goals and holding York without a shot. Lindsey McKinney picked up an insurance goal mid-way through the second half. Laci Ruppel picked up the assist.

Lauren Patrick put the game out of reach when she scored off of a Ruppel assist. MACU had 12 shots on goal and held York to 0 shots on goal.

The Lady Evangels are 10-4.

MACU will travel to Dallas Christian College Tuesday, October 2. Game time is set for 3:00.
