MACU Dominates CBC

Lady Evangels

Sept. 28, 2007

9/28/07 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Lady Evangels dominated Central Baptist College Friday, Sept. 28. MACU defeated CBC 9-1.

"We came out fired up and ready to play," Coach Bice said. "We played a solid offensive game."

The Lady Evangels dominated from the beginning, scoring seven goals in the first half. CBC was able to gather a goal in the first half, but that would be the only CBC goal. The Lady Evangels held CBC scoreless most of the first half and the entire second half.

"Our defense has been good for us all year," Coach Bice said. "I thought we responded well after the loss to Bacone."

MACU went into the locker room up 7-1 and scored two more goals in the second half to complete the 9-1 route.

Laci Ruppel dominated the CBC defense by scoring four goals. Lindsey McKinney had another solid game with three goals and an assist.

Jena Vega and Christina Black scored a goal each.

Bailey Williams had three assists, while Jocelyn Mehlhaff had two assists.

Brittany Foos, Rachel Scott, and Tiffany Ramirez contributed an assist a piece.

The Lady Evangels improve to 9-4.

MACU will host York College Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11:00.
