Sept. 20, 2007

9/20/07 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University stretched their winning streak Thursday, Sept. 20. MACU continued their winning streak by defeating St. Gregory's University 3-0.

MACU has won four straight games.

"We played incredible defense against St. Gregory's," Coach Bice said. "We have been playing good defense all year."

The first half was a defensive struggle, with both defenses making big defensive plays. Brittney Foos was able to find the back of the goal late in the first half and gave the Lady Evangels a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

Rachel Scott added a key insurance goal, off of a free kick, early in the second half and put the Lady Evangels up 2-0.

Azia Maxwell scored another MACU goal off of a corner kick and gave the Lady Evangels a 3-0 lead.

MACU's defense held St. Gregory's scoreless and Emily Lyon recorded her fourth shut-out of the season.

MACU will host Ozark Christian College Monday, Sept. 24 at 3:00.
