9/1/07 - BETHANY, Kansas - The Lady Evangels traveled to Kansas last weekend to play Bethany College and Central Christian College. MACU defeated Bethany 4-0 on Friday, but fell to Central Christian 0-1 on Saturday. "It was good weekend overall," Coach Bice stated. "We had our chances on Saturday, but we could not get the ball in the net." On Friday, the Lady Evangels played Bethany College, dominating them from start to finish. MACU out shot Bethany 24-5 in the win. "We were able to take control early and that was important," Coach Bice said. Lindsey McKinney and Jocelyn Mehlhaff scored a goal each, while Tiffany Ramirez scored two goals. Laci Ruppel and Christina Black added an assist each, while Bailey Williams added two assists. On Saturday, the Lady Evangels battled Central Christian College. MACU continued to dominate their opponents on the shot chart. "We are doing a good job keeping the ball on our end of the field, but we are not capitalizing," Coach Bice said. The Lady Evangels out shot Central Christian 25-3. Central Christian scored a goal in the second half and defeated the Lady Evangels, 0-1. The Lady Evangels have an overall record of 2-2. MACU will play Wayland Baptist on the road, Tuesday September 4.
