5.29.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.- Stilwell High School graduate Shandi Duncan signed a letter of intent to play women's basketball at Mid-America Christian University for the 2009-2010 season.

Duncan, 18, is the daughter of Carney and Kim Duncan. She is a native of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Duncan played post and forward for the Stilwell High School Lady Indians. She was a four-year varsity starter at SHS. Duncan was the teams leading scorer as a junior and senior. She also dominated the boards throughout her career, leading the team in rebounds as a sophomore, junior and senior. She was named Stilwell Female Athlete of the Year in 2009. Duncan received All-Conference and All-District honors in 2007, 2008 and 2009. She was also named to the Oklahoma All-Indian team in 2009.

"We are excited to have Shandi joining our program," head women's basketball coach Markus Crandall said. "She is a versatile player that has great potential. She recorded a triple double in a high school game and we hope she can bring these skills into the program to help continue to build the Lady Evangel tradition."
