3.14.08 - Mid-America Christian University Senior Danein Wells scored the first two points of the game, and the Lady Evangels kept the lead for the remainder of the evening, taking home the third-place trophy with a 60-50 win over Emmanuel College.

Emmanuel closed the gap to three at halftime but MACU (19-20) used an 11-0 run to open up a double-digit lead, 30-18, with 16:58 left in the game. Senior forward Treasure McCoy scored all 7 of her points during the run.

Emmanuel College (18-15) responded with an 8-0 run of its own to bring the score to within four with 10 minutes left, but that was as close as the Lady Lions came.

Although Mid-America turned the ball over 23 times, compared to 12 for Emmanuel, they made up for it by out rebounding them by 15. Karina Trindade led the Lady Evangels with 15 rebounds. She also scored 11 points and dished out four assists. Wells also chipped in 10 points.

Tenea Mann scored a game-high 14 points for Emmanuel, and Ashley Jackson tallied five points and nine rebounds.

MACU ends their season with a 17-21 record and a 6-16 SAC record.
