10.11.08 - McPherson, KS- The Mid-America Christian cross country team had two runners finish in the top ten and the other two runners finished in the top 25 at the McPherson Invitational on Saturday morning. Due to key injuries and sickness the MACU cross country team was unable to compete in the team competition.

Although the course was windy and the terrain had several hills, Abby Lanman led the Lady Evangels with a time of 22:56.50, finishing eighth overall. Sophomore Melissa Aguiler finished in tenth place with a time of 23:07.20. With top ten finishes Lanman and Aguiler received the first medals ever recorded for MACU cross country. Rachel Mundt finished the course in 25:47.90 putting her in 22nd place.

On the men's side Caleb Salter finished in 18th place with a time of 34:23.20.

The men's and women's cross country teams will be back in action on October 25th when they compete in the Southwestern Mid-State Classic in Winfield, Kansas.
