Abby Lanman highlighted the Lady Evangels performance at the Tabor Invitational, finishing the course in 45th place with a time of 21:22.04

9.29.08 - Hillsboro, Ks- The Mid-America Christian University men's and women's cross country teams made their debut on Saturday at the Tabor Invitational, held on the Marion Reservoir at Cottonwood Point.

On the men's side, sophomore Caleb Salter led the way for the Evangels, finishing the four-mile course in 34:35. David Lauteret and Zach Lays also ran for MACU.

For the women's team, Abby Lanman highlighted the Lady Evangels performance at the Tabor Invitational, finishing the course in 45th place with a time of 21:22.04. Melissa Aguilar, Rachel Mundt, Jenna Harris and Jordan Frazier also ran in the meet for the Evangels.

"I am real proud of my runners this weekend," Head Cross Country Coach Jerald Lewis said. "Once they got past the nerves and settled in, they ran good races. All our kids ran PR's this weekend. We did our best and that is all I ask for. We have a lot more training coming up the next two weeks so I look for us to improve in our next meet."
