5.9.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla.- The Mid-America Christian University Soccer team added Durant High School graduate Zane Bourne to their roster for the 2009-2010 season.

Bourne, 18, is the son of Arnold and Lori Bourne. His is a native of Durant, Oklahoma. He played goalkeeper for the Durant High School Lions. The DHS men's soccer team was named Academic State Champions in 2007.

Bourne excelled in the classroom. He was named Who's Who Among American High School Students and Athletes. He was named Durant Masonic Lodge Student of Today as a senior. He earned the State FFA degree with academic excellence and is an Honor Graduate from Durant High School.

"Zane will be a great addition to our team," head soccer coach Zach Bice said. "He was a leader on and off the field and a model student in high school and we hope to see him bring those characteristics MACU."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
