10/9/07 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University Evangels (9-4-2) treated a home crowd to a victory one last time this season with a 7-1 victory against the Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College Saints October 9, 2007 at James Curtis Field.

The Evangels scored early and often, posting the first three goals of the game.

The saints would manage to their lobe goal just before halftime to cut the Evangels lead to 3-1. MACU came out of the half energized scoring four second half goals while shutting out Hillsdale.

Jantz and May also contributed an assist in the victory. Felix Banjo rounded out the Evangel scoring with his second goal of the season. Kyle Pezant and Kyle Miller each pick up an assist in the win.

"It feels good to win the last home game," Coach Zac Bice said. "We have a tough stretch of road games, but I think the home stand helped us get our focus back."

The Evangels enter the road trip with a three game winning streal and much needed confidence. During the three game span, the MACU defense has allowed only one goal.

"Our defense has been there day in and day out," Bice said.

The Evangels begin their road swing October 16, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. versus Sooner Athletic Conference opponent Oklahoma City University.
