9/11/07 - CONWAY, Ark. - Ryan McCabe shot a 142 over two rounds and received first place honors as the Evangels placed fourth in the Central Baptist College Invitational held September 11 in Conway, Arkansas.

The first place finish is the third title of McCabe's MACU career. Shooting a first round 74, McCabe trailed by three strokes after the opening round. On Tuesday, he moved up the leader board shooting second round 68, winning by three strokes.

"I am pleased that Ryan was able to comeback on the second day and play a solid round," Coach Josh Lind stated.

As a team, MACU shot 318 in both the first and second round. MACU finished with a team score of 636 and placed fourth. Other individual performers for the Evangels were Dustin Nelson shooting a two round 153, Tyler Montgomery (172), Kelly Miller (173) and Bryce Lawerence (175).

September 24, MACU will travel to McPherson, Kansas to play in the two-day Central Christian College Classic held at Turkey Creek Golf Course.
