4.29.09 - Shawnee, Okla.- The Mid-America Christian University golf team maintained seventh place during the final round of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.

Oklahoma Christian University took home the title, beating Oklahoma City University on the third hole of a playoff.

The Evangels finished 142 over par in front of Northwestern who finished 195 over and John brown University who finished 224 over par.

Freshman Karl Griffith was MACU's highest finisher carding a 75 on the final day, tying for 29th overall.

Matt Costilow finished tied for 36th with a three-day total of 246 (83-81-82). Cody Mosley shot a final-round 89 for a three day total of 256 (83-82-89) which was good for a tie for 40th.

James Wigington and Andrew Shepard rounded out the Evangels competitors in 43rd and 47th place, respectively.
