9.14.09 - The Mid-America Christian University men's and women's basketball teams will announce their respective Teams of the Decade, Saturday, January 23, 2010 at halftime of the men's and women's basketball games against Sooner Athletic Conference opponent Saint Gregory's University. Tipoff is 1 p.m. for the women's game and 3 p.m. for the men's game.

The Evangels will honor six men and six women who significantly contributed to the basketball program in the 2000 through 2010 seasons.

MACU will also be recognizing all of the NCCAA All-Americans, former Players of the Decade and Teams of the Decade.

Dr. Robert and Juanita Adams will be inducted into the Wall of Honor.

"We hope all Evangel fans who live in this region will join us for this celebration," Head Men's Basketball Coach Willie Holley said. "This has been an exciting decade. We earned four NCCAA Division II basketball championships, and then we moved into arguably the most competitive conference in the NAIA. We've been honored and challenged, and our players have competed well. They've brought glory to God with their efforts on and off the court."
