4.28.09 - Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University men's basketball team signed junior center George Omar Haynes for the 2009-2010 season.

Haynes, 22, is the son of George W. Haynes and Joan A. Haynes and a native of St. James, Barbados. He has spent the last two years at Western Oklahoma State Junior College where he played center and earned the Most Improved Player award. Prior to playing for the Pioneers, Haynes attended Coleridge and Parry Secondary School.

Mid-America Christian University is a member of the NAIA and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
