OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University men's golf team opened their fall schedule on Tuesday at the Southwestern Christian University Fall Collegiate Invitational, and the youth of the MACU roster showed through in their first round.

MACU posted a team score of 324, playing with only four players and thus having to count every score in their team score. The total placed MACU 14th at the halfway mark of the event.

Tyler Price led the way for the Evangels, firing a 77 which tied him for 31st on the leaderboard. Isaac Maston carded a 79, and he stands in a tie for 48th after 18 holes. Austin Davis (80) and Jesse Humphrey (88) also competed for the Evangels.

The 18-hole lead is held by Kansas Wesleyan University at 294, and the Coyotes' Ben Hadden holds the lead in the clubhouse individually, as he shot a first round 67.

The event will conclude with a second 18-hole round at Lake Hefner Golf Club on Wednesday.
