OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Women's Basketball program has added junior college transfer Kelsie Dutton for the upcoming 2011-12 season. 
 
Dutton comes to MACU after playing two seasons for the Hill College Rebels out of Hillsboro, Texas. 
 
While competing two seasons for the Rebels, Dutton was a two-time Honorable-Mention All-Conference selection and helped her squad to a conference championship and a regional semi-final appearance. 
 
She brings solid student-athlete credentials to MACU, having received the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Distinguished Academic All-American award and is set to graduate with the highest honors as a member of Phi-Theta Kappa.  She was also the reciepient of Hill College's English Department award. 
 
"Kelsie is a great leader who works very hard in every area of life," MACU head coach Roman Owen said.  "Getting such a great caliber of kid on our roster is such a big step.  She is used to playing against the very best competition in high school and at the junior college level.  She will bring some experience to our roster that is needed." 
 
A 5'10 native of Anton, Texas, Dutton is the daughter of Donnie and Leigh Ann Dutton and plans to major in English at MACU.
