Lubbock, Texas -- At the conclusion of the first day of the Sooner Athletic Conference Golf championships, the Mid-America Christian University Evangels sit in a tie for ninth with John Brown University after shooting a round of 329-323-652 yesterday (Apr. 23) at the Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.
Oklahoma City is the clubhouse leader with a blistering score of 283-280-563, 13 strokes ahead of second-place Wayland Baptist.
Karl Griffith leads MACU by ranking 37th overall at 81-77-158, followed by Jake McElhany's 80-82-162 to come in 41st.
The tourney is set to conclude later today (Apr. 24).
